Default 6-speed srt-4

The caliber has a 6-speed.......has anyone done their research to see if we can bolt it up to ours??? Or how much one of those trannys cost? I know awhile back a few of us agreed we would like an extra gear...

dang well....ill look into it.....my transmission has been ragged and i was told it will eventually go out on me......whoever had my car before me just dragged the thing all the time...its apparent he put in a new cv axle and blew the other one out because grease was slung all over my alternator and other stuff.....

just figured if i was gonna spend money on a rebuild or a new transmission might as well get the 6speed....lol

the caliber srt-4 uses the same 2.4 liter turbo......so im pretty positive the transmission can bolt up to ours....and it being the same type of turbo motor the transmission should handle our torque and hp and have a good final drive....i guess we will see....

it doesn't use the same 2.4L... they are the same displacement... but the new 2.4L is an all aluminum engine built in Dundee, Mi.

Nice plant btw...
