Default Paper tires.

Paper tires, that is now my impresison of the stock tires that came on my '04. I bought it in April, I have 7,776 miles on it, and the tires are horrible wearing down. Sure, I have a heavy foot, but I don't smoke the tires endlessly, Actually I don't believe I've spun them much at all. Save when I first bought and wheel hopped all the way to 3rd gear while pulling out on a very steep hill. Lately I have had a problem with keeping my tires sticking while giving any slight amount of gas over granny mode in any condiition but perfectly dry pavement. It's getting time for a new set, which means I gotta save up to get my rims soon. Stupid preformance tires [:@]

tipop have you ever had Z rated tires before? if these are rated at 15k then im doing great at 8k. if a Z rated tire is rated for 30k you would be damn lucky to get 20k out of them. thats how it goes with soft rubber.

I was told they're only good for around 12K

And I managed to blow an 8" long hole through my rear "steel belted reinforced" BFG KDWs. They aren't bad but I hate when they sing.

From the research I've done, the Michelin Pilot A/S are rated the best all season tire for dry traction and snow. Kinda of expensive at $170 though.

you can get them in a 205/45R17 for the stock rim. check tires-n-parts.com, they have then for $86 each in that size.

If I ever get different tires than the stock BFG's, the I will be getting Goodyear Eagle F1 GS D3's.
