Clutch adjustment
I was wondering if anyone has adjusted their clutch, so it is closer to the floorboard. If so, any of you have problems with it? I did it after reading SRT forums and love it, but I don't want to screw up my ride.

Why would you do that?? Are you super tall?? Wouldn't that affect the clutch just a bit? By not being able to go in fully???
That makes no sense to me at all. If anything you raise it towards you. Or in certain types of driving people want a brake pedal even with their gas pedal (i.e. drifting).
I would think that that wouldn't let the clutch properly engage or disengage unless you messed with the internals which it doesn't sound like you did. And I would also come to think that it would wear your clutch out faster.....thus voiding your warranty if you still have one because you caused the damage by adjusting a pedal.
I would never have done that....unless pedals are made adjustable (i.e. the magnum and such in loaded dodge vehicles now) I wouldn't adjust em if you paid me....ESPECIALLY a clutch....

I am 6'4" and my knee hits the steering wheel when I clutch. I know the clutch engages fully, but I am a little worried about the disengagement. Plus, why would Dodge put an adjustment spot on the clutch prdal if you are not supposed to adjust it?
I've just never heard of moving it closer to the floor I think it would affect disengagement. There's guys who drive these cars that are 6'7"....and don't adjust the pedal. One of my buddies is 6'5" and has no problem...

They make the petal adjustable, so that when the clutch really starts to wear, you can make small adjustments to the petal to make up for the wearing disk.
I beleive that if you adjust the petal in, you are actually putting pressure on the throwout bearing. That will cause premature disc and finger wear.
I would put it back the way it was, before you end up buying a new clutch

Ok thanks for the advise. The throwout bearing makes sense. I will adjust it before I drive it again. It's hard to take advise from an Eagles fan, but I guess I will give in this time LOL. Thanks a lot
