im new and just bought an 04 srt-4. the car came pretty much complete and i was just wondering what the hks ssq bov is suppose to sound like on these cars? let me know if you know anything.

really though, just go on youtube and search for the bov comparison video, you can hear it there.

 

i did and it doesnt sound anything like mine.if i just touch the throttle andget like 3-5 lbs of boost it makes a fluttering noise. i dont know what the hells going on.

 

sounds like the bov may not be working then. If its a load fluttering sound the its most likely that your pressure is pushing back on the turbo when you left off the gas, which is bad. you could pop the hood and rev the car manualy and see where the noise is coming from.

 

yeh i did that and it only does it when im driving. you caint even hear the bov by just reving the car.

 

i have the hks seq bov as well and mine does the same thing....i dont think its anything to worry about because my car runs fine....just flutters because 3-4lbs isnt enough to really make it kick off

 

really? hmm crazy . ive been reading forum articles and it almost sounds like turbo surge. any ideas?

 

do you have an aftermarket intake? cause if you do it is that making the fluttering noise. I have a mopar BOV and my bud revd it up and i look for what was making the sound and i think that it is my SRI.

Edit: i just read that you do have a CAI, bet it is that!

 

I was thinking that too, i poped the hood, took itoff, and manually revved it, and still faintly heard it, not as bad though but still there.
