BOV releases at 10 hg
Its been on the car about 3 years and the problem started about a week ago, its strange that it only happens at 10hg of vacuum and no other time thats why I ruled out a loose condition. I thought it might be the surge valve acting up. The car is still under warranty but I am sure the dealers going to blame the BOV.
They said they had to replace the turbo. Its been a week since they said that and no car yet. At least its under warranty (I removed the BOV before service, just in case) and I am driving a new Caliber they rented for me,not an SRT but its not bad. Keep you informed.
Well got the car back last night. Now its worse, not only does the brand new turbo assembly purge at 10-15 hg of vacuum now the car idle is erratic (up and down)and wants to stall at idle. I also had the sun roof motor replaced and they screwed that up too. When it did work, you pressed the switch once and it popped up, the second press would open it up completely. Now you pressit once and it pops up and opens 3/4 of the way, the second press opens it up all the way. Whats up with our dealers workmanship or lack ofit. Back it goes tonight.

Its back, they replaced the sun roof motor again, got it right this time. Are you sitting down? The head mechanic took the car for a test drive and said that the K&N Typhoon intake is the problem with the way the car runs. He said that its getting too much air and the computerdoesnt change the air / fuel mixture (its factory set) so its running lean. He wants me to put back the factory air cleaner assembly and that should solve the problem. Even though the K&N has been on the car for the past three yearsand the problem is about a month old I will try it, so when I bring it back again maybe they can find the problem without blaming something I did Now I noticed that the range of hissing and bucking has expanded its range to 20 - 10 hg of vacuum.
