Hi Everyone again. I'll be getting a SRT-4 within 4 weeks. I have a nice windfall on a stock and will soon be selling. By the way, the stock is SIRI which is Sirius Satellite Radio. I mention it because I want to have a Sirius Satellite radio in my new SRT-4. I spoke to a Dodge salesman yesterday and he said I could get a factory Sirius Satellite radio so I may have or order the car. I have a Sirius Plug n Play I use in my Jeep Cherokee and in my house near my computer. Anyone here have Sirius in their SRT-4?
I have my Colt Turbo for sale cheap if anyone knows someone who would like a cheap fast car that still gets 35MPG highway.

You wouldn't have to order the car special just for a Sirius radio, they can order just the radio for you and replace them. We did that at my dealership all the time. Or they yanked it from another car on the lot and popped it into the person's car that wanted it.
I'm sure the Plug N Play wouldn't be a problem, I don't see why you'd have to order the whole entire system for the SRT-4 that makes no sense to me.

Hi SexySRTChick. Thanks for the comments. I guess I want to keep the PNP attached to my stereo system that is near my computer. That way I won't have to keep taking out to my car. Right now everytime I goes somewhere in my Jeep Cherokee I take it out to my car. Been doing that since Feb 04. I'd rather have a build in system (head unit) in the SRT-4. That way I have a nice neat integrated system. I don't mind getting another subscription.
That's good that the dealer can order a Sirius ready radio for me instead of me having to get it from the factory on the car.

FYI, down here, those Sirius radios are "primo" targets for theft.....invest in a good alarm system as well if you can hear it if it goes off....
They try to get you that way, but it can be done by you just ordering the Sirius radio from the dealership or from their parts department, and having them put it in. Easier that way too. Then you won't have to wait to take delivery of a car with it. I don't even know of any SRT-4s that have it.
Thanks dustyloins. That's great advice on the alarm system.
And as far as The Sirius radio goes, I know Dodge is suppose to be installing more factory Sirius radios in 05 than they did in 04. I'll have one one way or another. The dealer I spoke to yestreday did'nt have any SRT-4's in stock. All the 04's were sold. They are waiting on the 05's. I wanted a blue one but unless I'm mistaken I'd have to find a blue 04 as I don't think they will have a blue 05. I may get red if no blue.

Your 100% right Frank, theres no Blue in 2005, they replaced it with the Orange Blast, don't know if your a fan of that color, some are most aren't. I think it looks sweet when taken care of.
But if your dead set on a 2004 E-blue, brandy *** new, then ask the dealer that you want to buy from to locate one for you. I drove 11 hours to upstate New York near Canada from Southern RI to get a truck for a guy, it was the only regular cab 2004 Dakota left that was near base with a bed liner. They discontinued the Regular cab models in 2005. You just have to find a dealership willing to do it for you. Or you can check stock from dodge.com on their dealer locater portion of the website. That will tell you all dealerships within a certain mile radius of you, and what their stock is by clicking on their website link.
As far as alarms..I'm not a fan of them. The only thing I would purchase would be Lo-Jack. I'll explain why. If someone wants to steal your car, or steal something inside of your car....they're going to do it alarm or not. These cars are near impossible to steal as it is. The computer chip for the ignition and trying to get it to start after arming it is quite difficult. But they're gonna steal stuff out of it anyways. So as long as you have the Sirius radio insured, if your car is broken into, it will be replaced by the insurance company for a small fee. With alarms your spending a small fortune on a noise-maker. Experts will take anything they want anyways. If your too far away from your car you won't notice it making noise anyways. And nowadays, alarms are so sensitive that they go out if a leaf falls on them, so people don't usually turn their heads at the sound of an alarm like they used to, because it more often than not its a false alarm. I'd suggest getting tint, and a sunshade on the front window, to hide whatevers in your interior at night. Most break-ins don't occur during the day anyhow (though some do, I'm not ruling that out as an option, its just not that common). Another thing I'd suggest is parking your car in a well-lit, well-populated area. Regardless of where you are try to find somewhere with a high traffic influx, or a place where alot of people will be at any given time, that also sways people from attempting to break into your car. Some of you like to park away from everyone, thats not always best. This is what I've done for the past three years with all of my cars, and nothing has happened yet. Notice I say "yet" I don't wanna jinx myself.
I wouldn't spend a couple hundred dollars on a noisemaker, I'd much rather spend around $400 on a Lo-Jack system to recover my car if it were stolen. I'd just, get some tint, park where you can readily be seen constantly and have insurance cover the sirius radio. Thats my opinion, you guys can agree or disagree at will, but thats how I feel, and its worked for me for three years so far.

Hi SexSRTChick. Can I call you by another name?
I can tell you are smart as well as cute.
I probably won't get an alarm. I live in the country and have good security where I live.
The LoJack is a good idea. As far as a Sirius Sat radio, as a head unit it will be in the dash just like any normal looking radio so it won't stand out as something extra special to steal, I hope.
As far as getting a Blue car, it's a matter of timing for me as my cash will be available the first week of January. Maybe there will still be a blue, new 2004 left somewhere.
I like your SRT-4 color. What color do you call it? I hope you get it repaired and back to you soon.
Have a great evening!
Frank

Crystalmarie, is my first name. You can call me Crystal if you want. I don't see why their wouldn't be a 2004 E-blue leftover. Like I said I traveled 11 hours to get a new truck for someone, some dealers are nicer than others.
The picture in my sig, is what I eventually want the color of the car to be. Its my own custom little job, courtesy of Photoshop! My car's black right now. I'll have him back by the end of the week, complete with pix.
No the Sirius doesn't stick out that much, it just has a small marking on one of the corners that says Sirius. And the display is different, but that doesn't matter when the car's off.
