questions bout the srt
Yup, I like my Stage 1 as well. No complaints. The owner's manual points out the fact the stock tires are 3 season tires and that you should get something else for snow/ice. Thankfully, we have that problem down here about once every 20-25 years. If I move back to Montana, the SRT-4 won't be making the trip......
Im in Dallas and here about 1 or 2 days out of the year there might be Ice on the road. So if that happens its the Tahoo that i will drive to work. I dont want to risk the car at all. Then i will be crying like Sexy does. lol Sry but dont want that for mine.
damn....im like dead broke....how much for the tires i need? and also someone told me at the dealership i only need to get 2 snow tires in the front....lol...i dont think he knew what he was talking about...but im gonna use stock rims...why not? and i duno...i gotta get money FAST cause im f*cked when it snows.....
Yeah you can use stock rims and stick snow tires on them. ALOT of people do that. Ben's one of them. His stock tires have snows, and his rims have 3-seasons. 2 snow tires in the front? Lol. Hes a funny guy.
The best way is to put them all around, but 2 snow tires in the front will work, your not gonna be goin fast anyways if its snowing and they will give you the same traction as all around snow, FWD. I would not go around any corners fast in the snow, you'll lose the rear end quicker with only 2 snows on the front, but for economys sake, $150= a tire, it should work.
the dealership was tellin me i would be fine even with stock tires...they said just use common sense and dont drive in a blizzard and you'll be fine... i meen my last ride...the s10 wit the xtreme body package...was rear wheel drive and i drove that in the winter wit stock16 inch wheel and tires...i drove it the whole winter and only had a problem once....thats when thier was like 4 inches of snow on the ground and i was trying to make it up a hill.... im sure the srt would handle better with its stock tires then a pickup with no weight in the back thats also rear wheel drive...
Ya, we'll see we only have got like an inch of snow so far here in Michigan (southeastern) ...so i have yet to find out. I might buy some new rims and put my stock tires on the rims i buy and put some snows on the stock rims, it sounds like a good idea.

btw...C, in your post above on the 13th...she doesnt have a AGP kit, she has and is sponsored by ATP
Fixed Ben. lol I'm out of it lately.
I'm having all seasons put on my car, but I don't think I'm gonna be going anywhere fast or slow if theres ANY snow on the ground. I HATE SNOW I want the warm weather back....[>:]
