Well, the newest issue of C & D has the Mustang GT vs. the new 50 HP more GTO. The 50 added ponies helped it out alot and the new GT ran the 1/4 mile in 13.8 sec. which makes it possible to fall to the SRT-4's in the 1/4 mile. They both haver lower top speeds than the SRT-4, the GT is drag limited and the GTO is electronically limited according to the article.

 

The GTO has a lower top speed??? Really? Wow. That car just became more of a waste of money than ever. Thirty some odd grand for that POS. I have that C&D too just got it haven't gotten around to reading it. I'll go read it when I go to bed (insomniac) in a few. LOL! I drove a GTO and though I liked the sound, I wasn't impressed. It was the service manager's car for Hurd. Brand new Yellow Goat. I like the interior, though it smells funny when its new cause of the leather....but damn WASTE OF MONEY!

And that 05 Mustang....is atrocious...dont even get me started on that POS. [:'(]

 

If I remember it correctly they stated that the GTO was limited to 158 MPH top speed, which is real close to the SRT-4's top speed, and it is in some cases depending on the weather.

 

And I've known some SRT's *wink* (Paul LOL) to get past that speed.


And that thing just looks like Glorified Grand Am to me. Too plain. Front end isnt bad, I'll give it to them on the interior...but the rest of the car is too bland....and Pontiacish.

The new '05's have a dual scoop hood that helps out it's plain look, but only from the front.

 

Yeah I remember Paul saying that and seeing it on Carbon By Design's site. You see virtually none here in RI anyhow. I'd like to catch up with that Service Manager though. WW. Scary guy, but I'd like to run him in the 50hp less one...just for ****s n giggles.

 

It should be a nice win for you as well as the rest of us SRT-4 owners.

 

Excellent. I like wins But nothing too easy takes the fun out of it. Unless its a real black n decker toolbox whos talkin **** in his hondur ceeeevik in which case.....its on...in VAC...and I still win

 

Definately. I love putting some cocky ***** in his place, I don't start em', I just finish them.

 

Oh yeah Hondas love to start. I wanna know when people will actually understand that its NOT "JUST a neon" and that it has serious *****? Then again when that day comes it won't be that much fun anymore.
