Just curious, goin to race my friend in his 02 Camaro SS tonight. He says hes going to eat my car up. Well see about that. Anyway, if anyone is interested, post what you have raced, and beat. No fish stories please!

AND, what has beat you. I talked to a guy today with a stock 04, he raced a Cobra........he say's " he beat me bad!

Well duhhh, It's a Cobra, not some 4.6 SOHC GT. I'm not a Ford guy, but doesn't the Cobra have almost 400hp?

evo at track, lots of mustangs, i've beaten a bunch of other crap to just cant remember right now...

i race 2 03-04 cobras at the track last time ...it wasnt pretty...they reeled me in...i got them off the line then i heard the supercharger and they flew past me...one traped at 121 so it prob wasnt stock...

he ran a 13.2 to my 13.2...but i owned him on the tree by like a half second....
he had a couple things done...i would like to race him again...i messed up my launch that run...

 

What I have owned: Evo, STI, Trans AM (auto), Hondas, Acuras, VWs, Corvettes, Eclipses, Talons, Mustangs, a Mustang Cobra (from a 65mph roll, he couldn't drive), and I DID take on a Camaro SS, black some older guy was driving it, I ate him for dinner, I was still pulling on him at 130, he was 4-5 car lengths behind me, then I began shutting down, I had slowed to 120-125 but he didnt wanna give up yet...then i heard a funny noise....and he flew by me with that god-awful Nitrous smell. He flipped the N2O after I shut down. Depends on the driver Paul....

What did I lose to? a Z06 vette, and if you count the Camaro as losing (its wishy washy to me cause I shut down when he kicked it on) then a brandy *** new Camaro SS. (Paul that would be funny if that was your friend)

P.S. Paul, heres the Cobra specs. Not even 400, and at VERY high RPMS. And its got a grand on us for weight. ALL THIS for 35 GRAND if not more!

2001 Cobra with light mods... this car always jumps me, everytime... Stage 2 should put him in his place

2004 Rumble Bee... why do the people that own these things think they are fast?? they're just a std. truck with a sticker??

1993 Mustang... heavily modded for drag purposes (traction only)... blew the launch, he had me... from a roll though, I hung right with him... this would be a good close race if I could launch worth crap!

late 80's automatic Mustang GT... this guy must have been mad when my 4 door handed him his @55 from a roll...

97 Mustang GT Convert.... a car loaded with people, and only 2 people in my SRT... it was bloody

I raced an STi when they first came out driving the 01 Cobra mentioned above... he had the launch... but I was gaining every shift... he still won [:@]

Countless Grand Prix's (why does everyone with a Grand Prix/Grand Am think they are in NASCAR all the sudden???... weaving in and out of traffic on the highway like they are freakin' Dale Jarrett???)

 

I have not raced crap but a 98 ex civic but when we hit the red light after weaving in out of traffic ( I was pushing him down the road) I saw the car and would not play[]

But on the way to work a porche wanted to play so in second we both just slamed the gas and it was dead even??? 911 turbo 2002-2005 New one. Either he was messing around or something. We got up to 70 and he quit but we where dead even nobody pulling or falling back. I guess the old guy was playing with me??[&:]

RIPSIGUY..an 04 cobra, stock is around 390hp, according to ford. stock, with a decent driver, they should run in the 12s...although ive seen guys struggle with traction and run 13.20s or so. however, there is a guy at my home track...part of laurel mountain mustangs, he is caged, no bottle, and with street tires, and 2 passangers!!!, he ran 10.20.
