First I've heard or seen of it. With less than 4,000 miles on my SRT-4, hopefully I won't see a need for one for awhile!!!!!

we have a similar system on the mustang, although it's a bit more complex than those you linked to. the one that we use enables us to replicate a 1/4 mile run on the computer, tune the car through it while looking at all aspects of performance on the screen (boost levels at specific rpms, a/f throughout the entire run to ensure that it's not running lean at any point, timing, water/methanol injection, etc.), and various other odds and ends that enable us to fully and specifically tune the car to run it's best. we can customize and save maps for different uses (track vs. street) and upload at will. it's really very useful and a great tuning aid. we use it in conjunction with an innovative wideband, works very well. these are also very expensive for the full systems.

unless you're running some serious power and custom tuning through your car, i wouldn't bother getting anything like this. it's not really necessary with our cars, we don't tinker with them enough to fully benefit from spending the money.

Never seen that little toy on an SRT before. It reminds me of something in Fast & the Furious.

if you own a laptop, done any mods that tripped the MIL and poped the check engine light on, or if you want to see what your srt 4 is doing get it...best thing is to have someone else drive while you play, kinda of hard to hold a laptop while you drive..it is a neon not a ram...but think you will like it.....just be sure you no what your doing before you go off changing anyting, there is not a restore defaults option.

I don't have any mods that would require it, but I've never seen it in an SRT before.

Andy, stop right now and go no further with this BS.[sm=forgetit.gif][sm=shutup.gif][sm=icon_rtfm.gif] Your saying that you can use this program with a laptop to retune the car and it cannot. It is simply for data aquisition and it cannot make any changes to the PCM, it cannot change your timing, fuel flow, boost or anything else for that matter. All it can do is monitor everything in greater detail, they have no reprogramming ability, that is why they are called Data Loggers, because that's all they can do is record and display data.[sm=exactly.gif]

Here is the one time Andy did tell the truth:
