I response to Bruins013 on drilling holes in a $500 hood...lol...I'll only be paying about $100 tops for it since I only pay the difference from a stock hood due to insurance paying the remainder. I dunno about the rest of you guys, but I personally would rather want to be able to see out of my windshield than worry about two tiny holes drilled in my hood so I can have functional washers.

the ipp hood does come with holes for the washer nosels. they aren't the correct size, they're really more like guide holes, so you do have to dremmel them to fit the washer things in there. it's not hard, took all of 10 minutes or so to get them in there. i don't recall seeing any other hoods that come with the holes already in them....

(glances around to make sure nobody saw him sneak into a thread about carbon hoods)

I have never been a fan, since from what I know, most carbon parts are not appreciably lighter than the part they replace, if used with the stock hardware, which is how I would insist it work, since it's my daily driver, and I don't want to screw with pins and such.

I can save weight by removing carpeting and seats, but that route is not for me. With that being said, I'm interested in the Revo colored hoods. The silver appears that it wouldn't stand out too much, and they claim some weight savings (15-20lbs, maybe, I'm not sire of the exact number), of course, I don't recall any weight reports of IPP and such, they might also.

If something happens to my stocker, I would most likely consider the Revo hood.

I like CF and it benifits, but I never have liked the look of it, it looks like another version of plaid. If I ever do get any CF parts they will be painted.
