Carbon Fiber Hoods
Does anyone know where I can order a high quality carbon fiber hood?
Some drunk rigger backed into my car with his 1-ton dually and wrote off my hood, so I thought I might make a cheap upgrade out of the deal...LoL
Do they make anything with hood pins for the SRT-4?

Must be hood destruction weekend. Sorry to hear about yours.
Unfortunately, I just had mine dented up in a couple of places, too. On Thanksgiving, as I was driving behind an old man on the way to my girlfriends house, the guy drove over a large branch without ever swerving or hitting his brakes. It flew 20 feet in the air and landed smack in the front right corner of my hood and bounced of the right corner near the windshield. I'm actually glad, it could have been worse. My G/f was in the passenger seat and it just missed het part of the windshield.
So I'm deciding between a new silver stock hood and carbon.
Is there a carbon anyone knows of that fits as well as the factory hood?
Also I was initially thinking about a std. color carbon hood, but silver carbon might be cool - if it exists.
Any comments or suggestions?

there are many options out there for cf hoods.
carbon by design makes a very nice oem replacement one. rumor has it that they have a new style coming out soon, but no one really knows just what it's going to look like yet.
fiber images also makes an oem style hood that is of good quality.
revolution motorsports makes the colored carbon fiber ones which also look like oem if that's your thing. they have silver, red, blue (2 diferent shades), and yellow. they are the only company that i know of right now that is making colored cf hoods for the srt-4.
ipp also makes a cf hood, which you can see on my car in my sig. peresonally i prefer this hood because it's not oem style like the others. there is a small gap between the nose and the hood that some people make a huge deal over, although it's not that noticable to me.
none of these hoods are designed for hood pins, but they can be added to any of them if you want. all of these hoods use the stock locking mechanism so that you don't need hood pins.

I've noticed that all c/f-hoods I've seen have no provision for the washer jets. Could one simply salvage them off their stock hood and drill a few holes in their c/f-hood so they would fit and thus be able to wash road grime off their windshield without stopping the car, getting out, and washing the windshield by hand? LoL
I've never been a fan of two-tone cars or trucks, a nice single color, perhaps with small contrasting highlights like pinstripes or small graphics looks much more classy. But each to their own, after all you own the car.
I did have some $$ set aside in case they made a CF i liked, which they haven't yet. I guess I'll go for the Stage 2 for the next round of upgrades next spring after tax time....

I could be wrong, but if you look close enough at PSICHick's Sig it appears that she still has her windshield washers in tact. When mine is installed I'm drilling holes into it (or my body shop will) and afixing the windshield washer squirters. I can't see not having them, especially in the north east.

i am getting the rev motorsports i think with the blue/carbon mix
My stock hood died.... LOL
My CF will be year round. I may get a colored one from Rev later on, if I like how they look, and have heard decent things about the fit. I think CBD is the best out there right now <- my opinion.
