Eyelids
Those of you that have the Carbonbydesign CF eyelids. How did you attach them? I don't like the though of someone able to walk by and jerk of a set of $120 eyelids while my cars sits out front.
they go on with this 3m stuff. you put on a prep glaze and then the tape stuff is applied. don't worry, i thought the same thing when i first was going to get them. believe me, those things are not coming off anytime soon. if they try to get them off, they will brake.
Yeah the 3m **** is stuck on DAMN good. In order to get them off, they'd ruin them. I'm having my friend make a bunch of different styles of eyelids for the 2000-2005 neons with my spare headlight. I like the vinyl better...alot cheaper.
are you looking for solid ones or the vinyl?
carbon by design has ones that are tinted red carbon, as well as red carbon/kevlar ones. they also have fiber glass ones that you can get painted to match your car. all are available in either the "s" style or the shorty type.
as for the vinyl ones, you can get them from revolution motorsports i'm pretty sure. many people are selling them on srtforums, but they aren't vendors. i know that there's a guy at eastcoastboost that sells them, but i've heard of a lot of issues with him not shipping and such so i would be careful with him. you can also go to a local vinyl shop and have them made, quite a few people have done this and they have come out just as good as the ones that others are selling. plus they can then be put on by professionals, which can be a good idea as these things are not the easiest to put on properly, and if they aren't done right they have a tendency to bubble over time.

Revolution Motorsports has the vinyl.
And so does Ruthless. Ruthless's are 19.95 for a pair, shorty or s style

it would seem Revolution Motorsports is "shutdown" according to the website (whatever that means)...
having the eyelids affect the light produced by your headlamps?? I would think not... but... Has anyone used Ruthless? I like the "cheap" factor of their eyelids... but... cheap can mean crap...
