SRT-4
By the way the sticker on a Srt is only 19995 and the sti is over 31000 so for the extra 10g's or so one can make the srt a much more potent machine than the sti... A friend of mine ran a 13.7@102 Stock... .. With the 10 grand that i plan on putting into it, it should be putting down over 400whp and running low 12's hight 11's....

well what are we talking about,1/4 mileor Road/Rally course because stock for stock the STi willkill it in both but no matter how much money you put in an SRT-4you wontget the handling abilities of the STi so itstill wouldnt be any competition in aRoad/Rallyrace.

i learned for 2004 model year the Dodge SRT-4 will have a blue color and possibly a white color as well available , sunroof option and Limited Slip Differential available for the SRT-4 this fall.

the $19,995 question is will the car remain under $20,000?

as for the EVO and the STi, those are AWD vehicles and is not a fair comparison. besides, i've seen an SRT-4 beat a WRX the other day. it depends on the driver but this SRT-4 was screaming. i noticed a front wheel hop when the driver shifted. i'm eager to test one out.

your rightits not really a fair comparison, I totally acknowledge that. where the hell did you see an SRT-4 beat an STi? something must be really wrong with the driver of that STi, either that or it was just a stoplight race and the STi driver wasnt racing; just the Neon tryin to flex his mini-me muscles

There is a video of a stockSRT-4 Walking away from a stock STI on the freeway, The STI got the jump, but the neon just dusted him, then took a talon TSI that had mods. The New SRT-4 is no joke, I have yet to loose a race, I have beat Lexus, BMW, Honda, Acura, Chevy, and thats about it. Stock at the Flywheel, the SRT-4 is believed to have 275 horses, at the wheels its about 223 and torque is around 240 I believe. This car comes hooked up for a reason, so compact american cars can get the " STREET RACER " name. This car is a serious competitor and I am betting it will be seen alot more since it is affordable to the young crowd.

I think shogunn is just mad cause he got whooped by a SRT-4, dont worry man, you will get your chance when you put 4 or 5 grand under your hood. LOL

now i think we will all agee the srt-4 is under rated from the factory, but 275 hp?? come on. posts like that make you sound silly. i have one and can tell you it is a very fast car, but there is not 275 hp at the crank. and as far as it beating an sti, no way, but a standard wrx that is a different story. im sure ill come across one here in detroit, maybe even an sti since there are 3 owners of them in warren already. when the time comes, ill definetly go at them, and ill let you know how it turns out. until then lets try to keep the exagerations to a minimum.
My bad, my fingers type faster then I think and I dont read what I wrote. I ment to put stock WRX and Some guy on a different forum said that he calculated the numbers and thats what he got, I dont know how he did it, but hey thats what he said. So Im not exagerating, I just typed wrong and listend to a Jack A$$

No I havent raced an SRT-4 yet, and guess what buddy, I could put$3000 under the hood of my daily driver (1995 Altima GLESedan) and kick the sh*t out of an SRT-4 so lets keep to testosterone driven comments to ourselves and quit tryin to flex muscles with your new found love that will break down after 25k miles.

Dont get mad, its all in fun, I could put 3 grand under my hood and beat your car after you put 5 grand under it, so what, who cares, were never gonna race, dont get mad about me jokin with you man, its all in fun. I do love my new car, and if it breaks down after 25K I will let you know, till then I will keep on smokin crappy civics and what ever other import I can. HAVE A NICE DAY BUDDY!!!
well I own an SRT4 and yes it will beat a stock WRX, not on the jump but after third gear we are well past the WRX and pulling farther. Oh and for the guy that thinks that he could put $3000 under the hood of his rice and beat an SRT4-----well-----uh---NO! All you would see is the new design tailights getting smaller as you went through the gears. You would probably nos it and blow that peice up. IMO, Anyway, on the 275 HP at the crank-yes and by what the guys at PVO are saying it is more like 290HP at the crank. And right now you can buy stage one for these cars and up the wheel HP to 245 and wheel torque to 265. All for only $400. Bigger injectors and a new computer. ANY MORE QUESTIONS RICER BOY? Later
