Summer Rubber
I've been looking around at other summer/performance tires that will fit the stock SRT-4 wheel...I was wondering if anyone out there had any opinions (ie. are there better stock size tires out there than the B.F.s that come with the car)?
Being the Pirelli fiend that I am, I was eyeing up a set of PZERO ROSSO tyres (gotta spell it like the Itallians- lol). Would anyone happen to know if these little beasties offered more grip/performance than the G-Force T/As?

The grip on the BFG KDW-IIs is awesome! Sometimes you get a bit too grippy with them. If you want better traction, mount a wider tire on the stock wheel. A 205 is ridiculously small to gain traction for the amount of power the car has. I have no idea about the Pirelli's being better or worse. All I can suggest is consumer reviews from TireRack.com on each.
Pet Peeve about the BFGs: They "sing" almost like swampers/mudders around 40-45, and "sing" you another song around 60-75.

I have Bridgestone Potenza Pole Position SO3s. Love'em. About the same wear as the Pilot sports that were stock on the 03s. when heated up to temp, they feel like a freaking pencil eraser
Meaning I've gotten about 20-23K from them. Part of this depends on your budget. For the best of the low budget tires, look to Kuhmo's. Tirerack, as Sexy siad, has tons of user reviews, and tests.

Just for giggles, and to rasie awareness, the S3R recommended equipment list includes W-rated tires
hehehehhehehehehheh, can't wait
BTW, and back on topic, I looked at the Kuhmos, 420 treadwear to the SO3s 220, so they will last longer, but not grip as well.

Hell, yes, haven't met a Stage kit I didn't like yet
Getting it from Modern, they told me my Icemans (intake)shipping tommorow. So it can join the Forge on the shelf til the S3R kit arrives[:@]
Of course I've been following it closely. All of them actually. I'm from MA originally myself. Still have a brother in Woonsocket RI, and a brother and nephewss in Lowell. Might get up that way around New Years.

The new BFG Gforce Sport is a sweet tire. It has a more directional pattern than the KDW and a center contact pattern so it doesn't make as much noise, plus it has a great looking sidewall!!
I've always wanted to get a set of the Goodyear Eagle F1 GS D3's, they seem like my kind of tire. The Bridgestone Potenza RE 950's on my '99 R/T stuck like glue and they are year round tires. I also love my stock BF Goodrich on my SRT-4.
