A bad coil pack can do really weird things too, so you might want to check it as well.

I pulled the front brace off and I still havethe problem. So now I'll have to look into a new coilpack or check my IC pipes. What is a good replacement for the stock coilpack? Accel, Screamin Deamons, MSD, stock...???I noticed the stock ones are pretty pricy compared to Modernperformance's MSD Pack.

Everyone one here says to stick to the stock one, that the MSD and others dont really do that much, and I even looked into it and the MSD puts out the same volts as the stock one, kinda weird I thought so I think everyone is sticking with a stock.

I'm digging up an old thread here but here is what I've tried so far to attempt to resolve this issue... I've tried going back to OE wires, and back to my MSD's, which are pretty new. I've also tried removing my strutbrace, and I borrowed a coilpack from another neon, I've tried replacing the plugs 2 times, but I've only tried the LZTR5AIX-13 NGK iridium. not the colder LZTR6AIX-13's. Also tried differentgap on theplugs, currently I'm at.036. I've tried putting the stock surgevalve back on to see if the BOV was letting boost by. (I have the Boomba BOV which mounts to the compressor housing) I've gone to my local tuner shop and asked about them aboutit and they think is is definitaly a ignition issue due to the problem is happening at the SRT's peektorque curve. does anybody think switching to the colder NGK's may help at all or have any other suggestions? thanks all for any input.

You shouldn't need to go colder at your boost levels, those NGKs should be fine. maybe try a set of the champions (they're pretty cheap) and gap them from .50 and move down. Have you boost leak checked your car recently?

My buddies MSD wires were sparking bad as well. Shocked a couple people when we were throwing the rpm sensor over the coil on our last dyno day lol
