Trouble at 2700 RPM?
So I found this video, this car is acting in the same as mine at 2700-3200 RPM's. WOT, full boost the engine will stutter/shudder/hesitate but only under 3200 RPM's. once it clears 3200 is is smooth sailing and other than that the car drives perfect. I've checked for leaks. (I'm peaking boost as hagh as16-16.5 in 3rd, 4th, & 5th and holding around 14.) tried new plugs, went back to the stock BOV, tried different wires to no avail. I'm stillstage 0, stock boost w/ a SRI and a strait pipe (no resonator) stock exhaust, catch can and MSD wires.
During the video watch the RPM's and listen to the engine.. around 5-6 sec it is heard the best

Any suggestions on what this could be??

are you going full throttle in the video?? or are you slowly pushing the gas more and more...
if that was full throttle ouch...my car will do that with the blow off valve IF im not going full throttle and go like 60% throttle or sumthing....driving these cars is like 20% throttle to putt around or wot to haul ***...no in between...
well...if i turn my boost down i can run whatever throttle i want...which is i guess the problem ur having??

the reason i ask is because i had a similar issue, and as odd as it was it turned out that my wires were sparking to the strut tower brace at the spark change (around 27-3300k)

No kidding? that does sound odd. did you resolve this by removing the brace or is there a way to shield it? This would not harm the coilpack if I don't remove the brace would it?
I'm going to pull the brace off tonight and give it a shot. sad part to this story is I just ordered the rear brace so I'd really like to roll with them. but at least I'll know if the brace is the cause.
thanks for the input

crap! what wires did you get that are high temp? & again if this is causing the issue it will not hurt the coil or ignition systemwould it?
BTW. how did you ever figure that out??
