so im planning on ordering a new head gasket. beacause of the white smoke that shoots out when i go wot and let off.....i heard that i need to buy head studs..is this true???
Why don't you go have the cooling system pressure tested, this will tell you if you really do have a bad head gasket. If the system does not hold pressure, it probably is a head gasket, but why jump to conclussions. Pull the spark plugs and look at them, one should look different from the others, another sign of a leak, air bubbles in the coolant resevoir, another sign. Just check it out throughly to make sure that this is the case. Good luck.
That would be the first thing you should replace b/c its the cheapest but usually white smoke = head gasket. It doesnt hurt to change them, you should at least check them and make sure they are not fouled out.
