Yeah, my '99 R/T did that as well, it had the Mopar Performance chrome header and exhaust though, but from what I've heard about the SRT-4's with a muffler, it kills all the wonderful sounds like that.

I'm going with the Maxxfab stuff as well for my forward exhaust parts.

I Would love to put a SRT style exhaust on my R/T, however, it would sound like a Honda, and there would be no backpressure.

I am very happy with the way the OE system sounds, just had hoped it would be a little louder.

Yeah, there have been those that have done it from what I've heard and it was just as expected with very loud results. I recommend for maximum results, an SRT-4 exhaust with a dual outlet muffler integrated into it at the rear. This way it has the larger mandrel bent pipe and is toned down enough to be legal.

The stock exhaust on the R/T has a suprisingly nice tone. It doesn't scream but it has a distinctive sound.

The older it gets, the louder it gets.

Nothin wrong with that!
