Default subwoofer qestion for srt4 owners

I have heard there is a stock subwoofer in the srt4's placed in the trunk? if so what size is it and can anyone post a pic to show the enclosure? I have a 10" sub but the box I have came out of my old truck and takes up most of the trunk space in my sxt. I want something that is cutom for the neons.

its a 10" sub but was wired I guess using the front speaker settings so the EQ settings probably aren't the greatest. For $700 so much more can be done. Not downing the system at all but lets just say I had the choice between Kicker SRT and regular radio setup in a SRT and chose the non Kicker system. I haven't done anything with any amps or subs yet. Want to put a nice 12" in the trunk.

Before you think about putting your sub in a small enclosure like the SRT-4's factory subs box, you better find out how much air your sub needs to function properly. Some are made to require large amounts of air space in the box, where others of the same size need very little air space.

My wife ordered her '05 SRT-4 the way 'she' wanted it... that Kicker and the sunroof would have been left off if I were to order one, saving over $1,500. In order to hear the sub-woofer over the exhaust, you have to leave the passenger side rear seatback down! Enjoy the sound of the car... get the 'stock' radio/CD player.

Well then, I'm glad the one I got didn't have it. I wouldn't have wanted to spend more for it anyway, but if that's all they had at the time I would have bought it that way. I got mine just the way I wanted it, in black with the sunroof. I would have prefered to have the option of getting the interior in black, but the grey is OK.

The Box is to small...You'll be better off putting in your own sound system and custom making box for sub(s). And the sound quality is not that good with Kicker System at least not for $750 extra. The box is about 15 x 12 x 12.

Factory systems can almost always be improved more for less money than you would pay on the "sticker".........

I would think that ANY kind of subwoofer system would add alot of unwanted wait and there for slow the car down. I am all about good sound, but I bought the SRT-4 because it is fast. I dont want to do n-e thing to hurt that. My wife's SLOW 2001 cougar with a 3000 dollar custom stereo job is enough for me.
