Since I can't change my own oil in the "upscale" neighborhood I live in for the time being, I had to go to a local shop to get it done today in preparation for the move to Colorado. I stopped by a place that I had been to once before with no problems.

My first warning sign was when the "meet and greet" person came out smoking a big cigar. Then, their computer had my car listed as a Dodge Dakota. As one of the "techs" is filling the car with oil, he asks me what the OCC was for. I explained the purpose (I have to do it everytime someone looks at the engine) and he said, "Well that won't work, because the boost will blow it all off." Never mind the fact I've had it on the car for over 4 years.

He went on to tell me that my car puts out 8 pounds of boost and that was enough to blow the OCC hoses off (I just smiled). He also went on to say that the SRT-4 was the best car Dodge ever made and that the reason he wouldn't buy one was that aftermarket parts were all made by Jap companies and didn't fit the car right. (More smiling)

One good thing about moving to Colorado.....I can change my own oil!!!!!!!!!

Oil changes are the ONLY thing I dont do myself, so I do watch them like a hawk!!!

They are good people though and allow me to watch and they know me and my car well!

I feel for ya though, I have been there in the past many a time....

 

yeah, everybodys an expert. so... you cant change your own oil in that neighborhood? absured! god forbid some snooty a**hole has to see someone getting greasy on their way home from the office. you dont have a garage there??? i hate taking my car anywehere for oil changes. not only are many of the people working there chuckleheads but they way overcharge for synthetic oil. i had last take mine when i first moved out here in 05. havent been to a jiffylube since.

 

i just change my oil today it went surprizingly smooth by the way hey dusty can i get that guys autograph he sounds awesome lol

 

wow....wow.....I hate when i get told that my car has nitrous because the psshhhh noise it makes.....but that completely tops any my peeps....i get alot of homeless people...

the other day i pulled in at a Krystal bc i was on the phone....bum walks up to my car (windows are completely up and its like 10p.m.) yells at my window that has blue tint on it...."nice car man"....i just shook my head and didnt even acknowledge him verbally due to the fact that i was on the phone....he goes on rambling so i roll the window down....i said what? lol he wanted to know if he could have some money to buy a sackful of krystals.... A FU*#(N sackful!!!!!! are you kidding me?? what happened to "can i get some change?" .... i was like just cuz im in this car man doesnt mean i got money to throw at you...in fact, im broke and drove off.....wow...some people....

the best was a guy that wanted to race me becuz his big-body mercury cougar had a v-8 and he thought he would beat me....lol this thing was the crown vic look alike...wow...lol
he kept calln me the fast and furious car lol
