Default BOV Questions

Im thinkingi want to put a Greddy Type RS BOV on my car once i get my transmission settled. What else will i need to buy to put the bov on?

Your gonna need a ATP pressure pipe or just look for flanges that should go with the bov k check out some of the performance websites n you will see k man.

Ok thats what i thought, i dont need a Block Plate or w/e there called, some of the sites were sayin i needed them and other werent, so i wasnt sure

if your running the stock turbo you will need a block off plateto replace thedeverter vavle

You will need a few things:[/align]1. Block off plate for the stock turbo's surge valve. This valve will be removed and the plate will take its place. You can get these at AGP and just about anywhere.[/align]2. A cold side pipe with the proper flange for the Greddy. These are available all over the place, PTP Performance, Modern Performance, BWoody Performance, JMB Performance, AGP, ATP, Exhaust Depot, etc. Don't cheap out, if it hits your slave cylinder your transmission will hate you later.[/align]3. The BOV...obvious But get it from a reputable seller, the knockoffs WILL leak.[/align]4. Couplers. Some pipes come with them others do not. Its best to buy a whole kit like some of the aforementioned vendors sell.[/align] [/align][/align]And use T-Bolt clamps instead of hose clamps. They prevent boost leaks far better, and won't strip as easily as a conventional hose clamp.[/align]
