Default Is insurance for this car costly???

I'm about to buy one of these, and was wondering is insurance costly? How much do you pay?

BTW: I'm currently looking at a red SRT-4 at a used car company. It has 28K miles on it, and is bone stock (sunroof). How much should I be paying for this? There asking 16.5K, but I thought this was to much....I was thinking around 14? Thanks.

Well, I'm on/ will be on my dads. He's 54. I'm on his insurance with a 99 cavalier right now and it costs around 80. I'm 22 so I'd really hate to see how much my insurance would be if it was in my name....

Yeah Dusty's right, that definitely would be your best bet. These cars are on the top ten most expensive cars to insure list. I pay a bit over $200 a month, I'm a 22 y/o female with a clean driving record and the car is in my name with full coverage and an addition for modifications. I also live in RI, and we area very expensive state for everything, includinginsurance.

I agree. Definitely a cutie. Shame we don't live close, or else I'd definitely have to get you to help me pick a car out . Should be getting one soon, and will post pics.

Thanks hun! [sm=smiley9.gif]As for the price, sounds about right for what a dealer would sell it for. Try to get them to 15k and see what they say. Tell them "If you can agree on 15 flat, I'll sign and drive today". Making them aware that you WANT the car will help you with negotiating. (I worked as a salesperson for a bit so Im familiar with what they want to hear)
