Okay well I'm getting a bit irritated at the fact that its cutting down to the wire in regards to time. Time before shows start and time before the cruise nights start. I have a show I want to attend on the 19th at UCONN, but its not looking to promising if things don't start falling together.[/align][/align]So today I got a jump start on things. I took off the ugly yellow/black oil cap and replaced it with a new Viper SRT-10 oil cap. Yup they fit....perfectly.

[/align][/align]Then in the air he went to take the bumper off:
[/align][/align]I took the bumper off, and had to take the driver's side headlight out so that I could run the relay harness for the HIDs the way I wanted to. Heres how I have some of that run, and where I have the ballasts mounted. On the passenger side I ran into a bit of an issue. I had to relocate the horn and bend its bracket a few different ways so it would clear the bumper. I didn't want the horn blowing on the ballast....don't ask me why but it didn't see like a good idea.[/align][/align][/align][/align]Driver's Side:

[/align][/align]Then it came time to put the HID bulbs into the projectors. The projectors have this cap behind them that helps hold the bulb in and keep moisture out. Well the cap doesn't fit when you use an HID bulb, but ALAS....the grommet that the bulb comes with...fits perfectly. [/align][/align]
[/align][/align]I then decided to get a head start on the bumper flares...so I put them in. Heres two shots of the side with and the side without. These are a PIA to install LOL. You damn near need three hands to keep pry the bumper apart far enough.[/align][/align]With:

[/align][/align]Now...no output shots on the foglights yet. It was freezing cold and raining tonight so I didn't even really get a chance to aim them. I'll try to take some shots tomorrow night of what they look like when they are lit and in the car. They are a SERIOUS yellow color which I love. And the breakup line between the 6k and the 3k is really cool also. These projectors throw a direct beam forwards like a driving light, rather than dispersing all over the place. Its really cool. Again I need to get pictures, but I couldn't tonight. I put the old bumper back on awaiting the new headlights....hopefully they come soon. *sigh* [/align][/align][/align]

That means everything will be together, if the hood is completed and the rims are in, by the show for next Saturday. Damn its cutting it close though.....Really close. Glad I started it now. I'm gonna pick up some screws to situate the grille in the new bumper. [/align]

 

Yellow!!! These are the 3000k HIDs. In the second picture they don't look as yellow as they really are. Trust you me these things are PURE yellow. It wasn't totally dark out yet so the camera skewed the colors a bit, and I'm still not the best at night pictures. I'm learning the D40 slowly.[/align][/align]Cutoff:
