Oh dear....get rid of those Frams and use something else. Those are terrible!
Haha now you got me thinking. I just got a K&N oil filter from Modern Performance so I'll give that a try. They sell them for $9.99 plus shipping but I will start checking other sites and the local stores to see if I can get them cheaper.

One really cool feature about the K&N as opposed to most other filters is the 1" wrench nut placed at the top of the filter. This way you can use a regular 1" wrench to get the filter off instead of a rubber strap wrench like I've been using since it's the only thing I've been able to use to get the darn thing off!

Just so you'll know, Mopar oil filters are made by Fram, Purolator and Wix. They just paint them a different color, stamp them with the Mopar logo, and charge you double......

Mobil 5w30 full syn, Fram or Purolator filters for me. Redline C+ ATF in the tranny. How come no one ever talks about the tranny?

(You should change the trans fluid every year) I dont care what the owners manual says about that. Redline C+ ATF is the shiznit.

LOL. You're the first and only person I have ever heard of buying oil filters by the case.

Yeah I agree about Mopar not manufacturing them. I don't know what they cost. Frams and Purolators usually go for $4-6 at local stores in my area.

There are plenty of threads on the tranny and which fluid to use on this and other forums. This thread is about motor oil.

I use Royal Purple Synchromax plus FM in mine and it should be changed every 18,000 miles according to a lot of people.
