best intake
I was trying to figure out the best intake system for my 2005 srt-4 I saw the mpoar and the k&n system on modernperformance.com but the difference in price is quite a bit. Need some help deciding on a intake if anybody has any ideas please let me know
They are all going to be about the same effect, as far a performance goes, to be honest, an intake is a intake...they all do the same thing. Just get one that has good contruction on it, weld seems and clamps and such, the K&N on my old cavalier was weak by the mounting bolt and broke there in just a few months time

Just be sure to go with a good name brand intake, and not a E-bay special.[&:]
Modernperformance can also help steer you in the right direction, they are pretty knowledgeable there and could throw some hints your way.

Yeah, when you consider dollars spent vs HP gained, a CAI is not the best way to go.....

I have the Perrin Short Ram and absolutely LOVE it. Its not recommended for people at high boost levels because it supposedly sucks itself shut (I'm talking 25ish). But its great for me! Stays cool, doesn't heat soak. No ports for those stupid lines that are factory boost leaks anyways. And I don't have to worry about it grounding out my battery or not "fitting". Since its silicone it fits
. The only thing I dislike is that the filter is red.
I've gotta get a cover for it.
