There's no real difference between an '04 and '05 except for color choices.....I'm selling my '04 with 8500 miles for $11,500........it's available now, as I am buying a 4X4 pickup to move to Colorado in two weeks.....stay away from the '03 SRT-4's.....they don't have as much power and they lack the LSD.

These SRT-4's have some power potential, if you do get one, take it easy at first...

I recommend a 2004 or 2005 IMHO

03's are the best, don't listen to these fools lol. really though, there's nothing wrong with 03's. they have the same power, and while they do lack a lsd unless you're doing a lot of autox/road courses it doesn't matter.

and don't take it easy at first, beat the hell out of the car. these cars break if you baby them.

I disagree. The power is virtually the same. Many magazine tests reveal the same (or very similar) results for the 0-60 and 1/4 mile times for 03s as 04s and 05s. In some instances the 03' ran faster! They were underrated in '03 at 215 HP but would dyno 220-230 WHP stock. The only real difference is the injectors. If you get a '03 and buy a Mopar stage 1 kit (roughly $400) you will have the same injectors as the 04-05s and an upgraded PCM. Otherwise, the engine, trans, turbo, clutch, brakes, etc are all the same. It is true though that the '03 has no LSD but it's not that big of a deal. I kinda like not having it lol.

Other minor differences: no sunroof or Kicker Livin' Loud stereo in 03. Yellow '03 only. Blue '04 only. Orange Blast and Stone White '05 only. ACR edition '05 only (as far as I know).

Bottom line, if the LSD is THAT important to you then DON'T buy an '03. The LSD can be installed on a '03 but it's gonna be expensive, somewhere between $1,500 and $2,000 (parts and labor).

Otherwise, buy the one with the lowest mileage and least mods. The closer to stock the better IMO. Then you can do what you want with it. Make sure you drive it a couple times first and see how the trans feels. The synchros/trans are trouble spots with this car. You will find many threads on this subject. Best of luck!

i'm not kidding actually lol

and don't bother trying to defend 03's, people just want to believe that 04/05's are SOOOOOOOOOOOO much better and 03's are pos's that everyone should stay away from. i've given up, it's not even worth the effort as the elitist minds are made up.
