1/4 Mile Track Times
Paul thats cause you launch like crazy. That time must be off because I re-watched the videos of you racing the 12.6 second SRT, and that was an 18 second run total (no clue where the 1/4 mile mark was) and you toasted him the entire time. Theres cars with your mods putting 12.9s down. Its possible. And you launch like a motherfawker.
I wanna go up to Epping, just to watch No racie for me [
]. Opens in April. Tech n Tune is on a Saturday I can't wait.

GTECH is what he used. Which is why he said unofficial. He can launch on the street, better than people can launch on the track. Stock SRT-4s can run anywhere from a 13.7-14.0 from what I've seen from peoples time slips Whats 1/10th of a second more?? A better launch.
He raced a car that runs steady 12.6's 3 times, twice from a stop, once from a roll, and beat the car every single time. He also ran that car with his S1 and custom boost controller and other random little tweaks hes done here and there.
Yes street tires, His Yoko's. He doesnt have the stock BFGs got rid of them after 450miles because of the annoying hymns they play at 45miles an hour.
And it makes perfect sense, if a stock SRT can run a 13.7, why not a 13.6?

I quote from the following website, they know all about the G-tech
http://www.gtechprosupport.com/suppo...ingResults.pdf
"Regarding published times & stats
One of the first things a new Gtech owner usually wants to do is use the
Gtech and verify that his/her vehicle really does do 0-60MPH, in say, 5.5
seconds as published. Or that it really runs the quarter mile in 13.9 seconds,
or that it really has 255 HP.
Unfortunately this user is headed for disappointment due to unrealistic
expectations. Driving style, test conditions, track conditions, measurement
conditions, vehicle variances, etc. can account for large variability in
measurements. Add to that the fact even amongst publications, there is a
range of performance numbers for any given vehicle."
So my point is that using the G-tech to claim times that make almost or actually the fastest stock SRT in the country is not valid. There are indeed a bunch of 13.7s, no verified 13.6s I can find, and one unverified 104 trap. Also, the Gtech takes a speed snapshot at the end of the 1/4, while tracks average the last 60ft. This can make your trap off by anywhere from 1-3 or more mph.
I like the Gtech, it's a great tool for measuring change, like a dyno, but not for generating absolute numbers.

Yeah thats why he said unofficial. He'll be going up to Epping for sure. I'll tag along with the camera and tape the runs and upload them to my computer to see just what it'll do. I'm telling you, he's an amazing driver. And even he said he didn't know how accurate the GTECH was. Said it to me the day he was fkn around with the kids GTECH. Anythings possible. But we'll see in a few months when Epping opens up.
Then he'll prove it.
Then he'll prove it.
See, that's my point, if you doubt the accuracy, slapping "unofficial" on times that make you the fastest bone stock car is silly. Why even post them if you are unsure? I don't need to see video. I'm not accusing anyone of lying, just not using accurate figures.
Well as we all know timeslips aren't always true! LMAO *cough*Andy*cough*
It was a roundabout time that he got. Sure he got it from a GTECH, so what. Its unofficial because it wasn't at a track. He doubted the accuracy due to the WOT shifting 1/4miles being slower than the first time. Videos are always fun to watch though, regardless.
I know your not accusing anyone of lying. But he posted what he knew from a GTECH, and said it was "unoffical" and that he needed to take it to the track to get an official figure (come summer). Sorry he didn't say it was from a GTECH. At least he had something to time it with. Better than a stopwatch. Hopefully he gets to this thread tomorrow and can reaffirm what I just said.
And once he goes up to Epping, I will have videos, and "official" time slips (that are actually his not some timeslip from turkey LOL).

That's a mighty big difference, you might want to check it again while you make a pass at the track, that way you know for certain that there are no variables at work and that the conditions are exactly the same. That would be the best and only true way to tell the difference.
