Default Some of my newer/last mods

These are crappy cell phone pics of some of the other things I've done, because I haven't finished using up the camera that I used for the good pictures of these things and with the crappy weather it will be awhile before I ever do finish up using it. I am still far from done with what I want to do, but these are the last few I did but haven't shown until now, it's just my Prothane Race motor mount insert (I have both in but can only get a pic of the top one, it got dark while I was installing the lower one) and DC Sport CS-2 rear strut tower brace.

Do you notice a difference with the insert? How much does your car vibrate? I have been considering either the insert or new mounts. Not sure what I want to do.

The inserts make a very noticeable difference, for some it will completely eliminate wheel hop, for others it reduces it and some it seems to have no effect or makes it worse, then again there are several different brands/kinds of inserts. I have had a positive experience with mine, but it hasn't eliminated the wheel hop completely. If you can afford the new mounts, then that's the way to go, but my inserts were only $24 + $6 shipping, so that's why I went that route instead. With the inserts you will definately hear the exhaust and engine much more since it transmits more through them. You will also know every time the A/C compressors clutch engages when using the defrost or the A/C as it will be felt slightly. You will also notice how the car grabs quicker and better during take offs. I'm quite happy with my inserts.

I got them from Modern Performance, which is where most of my stuff came from.

Thanks. I ordered A set of inserts and booger bushings from them on thursday. I hope I don't vibrate too much. Should be fun.

Don't worry, you'll be fine, it doesn't add much noticeable vibration. The only things you'll notice are the exhaust getting a little louder and the slight jerk every once in awhile when the A/C or defrost is on. You will notice how much better and quicker the power transfers from the engine to the pavement.

Installed my inserts and Booger bushings. What a difference they both make. There is a little more vibration as you said roadrunner, but it is worth it. The booger bushing make the shifter feel ten times better. There is no question when you are in gear.

I heard the motor mount inserts are too stiff and could snap the bolt to the motor mount. I'm sticking with the stockers. also heard if you rev the engine the whole body shifts: to much strain on the mounts.

the reason that the engine moves when you rev it is because the stock mounts are too soft to handle the power that the engine is putting out. eventually the stock mounts fail when the power is increased. the bolts break on aftermarket mm's when they aren't installed correctly, which seems to be happening quite a bit. it's not that hard to install, i don't know what these people are doing to cause these problems.
