Whats up srt lovers. isn't this the baddest car you have ever owned. I cannot believe the power and quickness of this car. I' ve been waiting for this car since I heard about it 3yrs. ago. I use to own the 2.0 dohc first gen neon. I was quite satisfied. But this car just blows it away. The other day I was on the freeway and saw a viper and asI wasdrooling over it a brand new svt focus pulled in beside me. He wanted a piece of my car. So I humored him and raced him. It was sweet cause after handed his a$$ to him, he caught up to me and and started saying how sweet my car was.Dodge has done me proud. They have given me good reason togive my baby the name Eleanor. Go baby!
Just joined and I'm thinking of buying a 2004 srt-4. I guess I'm a little hesitant because I've never owned a dodge. I've owned only german and japanese. I hear that most american cars don't have the same longevity for stuff like alternators, a/c compressors, and the other perepherials.
I currently drive a 94 toyota camry with 168,000 miles. The car still runs flawlesly with all it's original equipment.
Just wondering if their are any long term dodge owners out their who can give me an idea as to what is normal stuff that goes out on these cars over a period of time.

What price are you guys paying for your srt's? The dealer here in texas is asking $20,995. for a 03. Does anyone know what the dealer is getting the cars for? I guess I might have to pay consumer reports the twelve bucks to find that out if no one knows.
