I would contact your turbocharger manufacturer. Is this rig only for racing? I ask because tuning it with racing fuel will be a waste of time if you drive this everyday. If its a weekend warrior rig sure but not an everyday driver.
Hmmm, this would be you would have to have the entire system rid of non racing fuel then I am assuming. Since this is possible, what do you have to do to change the "maps" as you say that multiple can be held by the computer?
no you don't need to do anything other than what you would normally do when you go to the track. if you put in say 5 gallons of c16 with 2 gallons of 93 on a typical track day, that's what you want to tune at. tuning with pure race gas then using a mix at the track is going to cause you to run lean.
to change maps you have two options. one is to plug the dtec into your laptop and just change the map. if you're using a gameboy it's a little more of a pain. you have to basically copy the street tune to another map slot and then copy the map you want into the map 1 slot. it's not so bad if you only have two maps, any more than that and you're going to want to use a computer to do it.
many people keep three basic maps in their detc. one for the street, one for the track (typically higher boost and/or race gas), and a "bad weather" map that uses very low boost for the winter.

I used to have the option where I had several maps and boost settings, but when I had my shop hook up the boost per gear they told me I could have one or the other but not both. I opted for boost per gear so I can get traction. On my d-tech now, I no longer have the multiple map options. is it hooked up wrong?
