whats the highest wheel offset you can run on a srt? i bought some 48mm offset rims from a sti and im just hoping they fit.. there 17x7 5x100 with a 48mm offset

I checked all of the TireRack.com's 17x7 wheels for an '03 SRT4 and the different offsets they had were from +35 - +42. I would ask them before I took a chance on going through wheel bearings like changing oil.

well i check the wrx rims and the have offsets from like 34mm-50mm then i checked the srt and they had the same but i seen som 18's with like a 42mm offset.. so i dun know

well, the 18's are irrelavent. The offset has to do with the overall width of the wheel and the distribution of weight on the bearings. Like I said...I would ask the EXPERTS at http://www.tirerack.com.

no i ment i found some 18inch rims with a offset of 42 mm for a srt i know the rim height has nother to do with the offset but like i said the wrx can take rims with the same off set as us.. but i did shoot tirerack a email

i doubt that a +48 is going to fit without spacers. +35-42mm seem to fit mostly, although some 42's require a small spacer to clear the caliper.

too close to the caliper. some +42's sit on the caliper, which is why they need a spacer.

you know that was dumb of me ive been at work for 17 hours now.. my minds asleep so i should runn at least
4mm spacer?
