It will wear out the parts faster. Yes it does indeed help, it makes a big difference. You better know what your doing before you try WOT shifts, if you screw it up at all you will pay for it literally $$$$.

tell your friend that he's been watching too many fast and furious movies. you don't need to double clutch, it actually slows you down. it's only needed on unsnchronized transmissions, which we do not have. they used that in the movie because the general population didn't understand wot, and at least a cluch was something they had heard of.

i hate those movies.

you can wot, it will help when racing. when at the track, that's the only way that you should shift. when i was first learning to drive at the track, i wasn't wot shifting and i was pulling 14.0 to 14.1's, as soon as i got the hang of it and started wot i droped to a 13.8. it's definetly worth doing, just something that you need to practice to get the timing right.

It's much fun shifting that way. Wins ya lots of races too. Impresses the hell outta people... Well, when I do it, it seems to. I showed my brother in law how to do it. Told a friend of mine I use to work with how to do it, cause he has an SRT-4, he had no idea what I was talking about. Was talking to some dude with an eclipse about it, he didn't want to race after that conversation...

BTW, EVERY ONE!!! NIC GOT HOME FRIDAY and he's all in ONE PIECE!!! Thanks for all the support...

Alright I have looked into this and read the SRT forums use of WOT shifting.
This is what I understand. It's shifting into a different gear while holding the gas pedal to the floor. Now here are my questions:
1. How bad is this for your car if you do it correctly?
2. Does this actually make a big difference?
3. Can you do this in any gear?
4. How long would it take you to master the WOT?
