Do you have stage 2 in the car now? What kind of boost levels do you see?

I run over 18PSI with JUST stage 2, there really isn't much need for a boost controller. I spend most of the RPM band with the boost gauge buried at 20PSI, and it tapers to roughly 17PSI by redline. I don't think you'd want to go much past stage 2 boost levels on the stock turbo, without a lot of charge cooling. You're pretty much past the turbos efficiency range as it is, and asking for detonation. But since stage 2 bases boost level on atmospheric conditions, you may be seeing less then me.

i like to keep it at 18psi consent beasue thats all the stock bov can handle(aka with mopar bov) i dont like boost spike personaly it dosent make consent power. i preffer to stay at 18 the whole time.

even with an ebc you get spike, it's the nature of our cars. i have s2 and i spike 21 and hold 18. i don't see any reason to increase the boost, as it is i run out of turbo at like 5500, you can see it plain as day on my dyno sheets. why increase boost when i'm already maxed out? the stock turbo can't hold more than 18psi, but can spike as high as 22, and no mbc or ebc will be able to completly eliminate spikes.

Eh? The stock surge valve, or mopar BOV, can hold a lot more then that. The way it is designed, it's not really possible for it to leak.

The boost spike is what makes the car throw up a huge torque peak between 2k and 2500 RPM. That's part of what makes the car fun.

right now it spikes to 17 psi and settles at 15 all the way to red line. just looking to get it to hold 18 psi to redline.

That's with stage 2 installed? Are you sure you adjusted the wastegate actuator properly?
