Default Turbo Boost Gage Not Working?!?!?!

Hi Im new to Srt-4s. I've actually been looking around to buy one for awhile now. I found an srt-4 2005 today and test drove it. Everything was good except for the autometer turbo boost gauge which doesnt seem to be working. Is that a big problem? Can it be fixed at low expense? & also its all stock with 65000 miles on it a little under 9grand...good buy? I didnt hear no whistles which i usually hear with turbos in cars, which is probably the blow-off valve or sumthing, which it doesnt have, wondering if the turbo is ok in it? Im really an illiterate to this stuff at the moment so Im trying to sponge some knowledge. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks

Does it not work at all? Often a vacuum leak can make reading inaccurate. I would check your vacuum lines to ensure it is "T"d in and you don't have any leaks.

I actually havent bought the car yet lol. yeah I noticed it wasnt working at all, it just sits at 0. Could it be the vaccum lines? would there be anything wrong with the turbo since the autometer isnt working, and possibly the vaccum lines has a big leak in it?

It might be broken or the line might have a leak. Either way is it cheap to get a new boost gauge.

The boost gauges (even though made by Autometer) are total junkola. They have been broke or off in 90% of the SRTs out there. The fix is really easy, just find your favorite 2 1/16" boost gauge and swap them out.
Hard to say if the turbo or motor is fine....you drove it, you tell us! Anything with any miles can be either great condition or trashed. Depends on the previous owner. 65000 miles isnt really something to worry about though.
