Default Limited Production???

I am sure that this question has been asked many times before, I just have not found it... Does anyone know that specs on how many srt-4s they are going to build? How many did they build in 03, how many will they build for 04, and are they going to be continued on from now on or are they soon to fade out? I did read that someone one this sight said that in 05 SRT-4s will have 300+ hp. Any conformations on that?

I don't know the exact numbers, but I can find out from DaimlerChrysler... but the 2005 SRT-4 (the last year for Neon and SRT-4 before the move to the Lancer platform) I heard they will up the horsepower to 245-250!

That sounds a little more reallistic. But, what is this about the lancer platform. Lancer is an older Dodge car right? are they changing the neon name over to the lancer? are they changing the body and all? any concept pics yet?

well, i guess your name is fitting doof, the lancer always has been and always will be a mitsubishi. I mean come on, it is one of the competitors for the srt-4.

Alright, Dodge did have a Lancer model in the 1980's, however the platform I am talking about is the Mutsubushi Lancer. DaimlerChrysler has already been saying the next Neon will be on the Lancer platform, which means it will grow in size. However not an offical word, but rumors have linked the next SRT-4 to the next generation EVO, w/ 270 horsepower and AWD.

Do you really think they will do that. Wouldn't it conflict with the evo sales

Dodge had the Lancer name first.

The next generation Neon will be hyundai powered and on the lancers frame.

As far as a next gen. SRT-4, as far as I have read and heard, the SRT-4 was/is only a limited production car and will only be available for a few years.

Hmmmmm, interesting information. I guess I'll take good care of mine and maybe some years down the road its value will rise as a "collector's car"...

"Limited production" would explain why there were 200+ Dodge Ram Hemi's on my dealers lot and only 2 SRT-4s[8D] (Yeah, I know, Texas is truck country, yadda, yadda, yadda, but 15 years of driving pickups was enough!)

Well Executioner, maybe you check out the Dodge lineup of previous years before you post!!!
Very disappointing info on the neon changing to a hyundai motor. I hope that that is just a BAD rumor. Why does dodge need to go to other motors like that. They should stick to their own and drop mitsubishi too I think. But, that is very good news on the SRT-4. I hope that they drop its production real soon and mine's value will go way up...

Drop Mitsu....??? Nooooo! They make the turbo for the SRT-4! And if the rumors about the power going up (again) next year are true, I'm sure they'll have a hand in it.

Just went out and washed my SRT-4, even though it's been raining....hey, it's an INVESTMENT now.....[sm=smiley36.gif][sm=smiley36.gif][sm=smiley36.gif]
