Hey guys, hows it goin. okay this is my first time on this thing and i just purchased a new 2005 orange Srt-4 and its sweet as hell. So my q is this: what would be the best mod for under $500? anything else besides an intake or boost controller? i need some help.
and on a side note...im at 2K right now and my cars broken in sooooo i floor it time to time. just recently i started to hear a pitch change in the exhaust when i floor it, wtf is that?!?!

 

It depends on what track you want to take. Do you want performance, looks, or car sound? A good thing to do under $500 is to lower it, but then again you might like the ground clearance.

2. MSD Wires $50
3. Whatever else you want. Mopar cat back exaust? depends on what your wanting to do. Stage 1? Intake?

 

Tipop is right, it depends on where you want to go with it. Look to the future of what you 'd like to do and do some "prep mods." if you plan on goin to the track then prep for speed and power like motor mounts, strut tower brace, sway bars..yadda yadda.

Save up $300 more and get stage 2.

i might be wrong but doesnt the '04,'05 models come equipped with the "stage 1" upgrade from what the '03 had? i figured stage 2 is the first "stage" to hit up.

They have the stage 1 injectors but not the stage 1 PCM. If you want to go Mopar mods only then higher stages are the best to go. But if you want to custom tune, a stage 1 PCM from what I understand is the way to go.

 

yeah i wanna go for the most power out of my car for now, i dont plan to mod it like a bitch in the future and im thinking about just leaving it looking stock. i thought about lowering it, but i plan on taking turns fast so lol i dont want my handling to be too dampened by that. also i htought exhasuts cost mad money so im not looking too into it. im mainly looking at turboXS right now and intake or pcm. well see i let u guys know what i got in the next month thnx.
