yup, with no cat it will shoot flames. i did that once at the track on my 2nd-3rd shift and scared the crap out of the kid in an eclipse that i was running. it was pretty funny, apparently he backed off when it happened, and the people in the stands started laughing at him. kinda felt bad, it was the kid's first trip to the track. but then again, he put a bone stock eclipse in the 13s category, so he was going to get his butt kicked no matter if i had shot flames or not. he ran a 16.x that run lol

I got a chuckle out of that one. Great visual. I bet he realized he misplaced himself in the 13's after that. Gotta' laugh at those cocky kids, though, he shouldn't have been racing in that bracket anyway.

Does it only shoot flames @wot or will it also do it when downshifting during the popping and crackling. Bet that would look good, but I'd be kind of worried about my bumper getting scorched if it did it alot. So why do you think? 10 to 20 horse difference?

Actually - from what my friend tells me, there are alternating flames (left, right, left, right) at various times - when downshifting, wot, really anytime you hear one of the afterfires that become a regular occurance with stage 2. So - it flashes just like a racecar. Pretty big, too, he saw them clearly during the daylight after installing a bunch of parts when we went on a cruise and he followed me. The bumper hasn't scorched yet, but I am watching it.

i saw later on in the day that he had put himself in the 15s class after that run. he'd been watching too many fast and furious movies!!! i feel bad for these kids that come out to the track sometimes, they seriously think that their bone-stock eclipses, civics, and integra's are 12 and 13s cars. they just end up getting embarrased.

those r also the same kis who put type R badges and stickers anywhere they can, i guess figuring the more stickers they have, the "cooler" it will look, and they pray that it makes their car look quicker...
