I Finally Got One
Yah, I've been told by a tech center employee that the engines are very 'smart'. The are programmed so well, they take care of themselves. So, I think it's an excellent feature... although it would KILL me to have all that power to play with and still not know what it can really do. LOL!

Congratulations, 71RoadRunner and welcome to the "club"!!!
I figured you'd really like the car once you got one. It IS a
pretty amazing car especially considering the price!! I've had mine
for 10 weeks as of tomorrow and the "grin factor" is still there, strong
as ever!!
Have fun!![sm=smiley20.gif]

Big congrats man. I am thrilled that you finally got one. And let me second what dustyloins said. I bought mine Feb 13 and I still hate to put it in the garage every night. I still have to smile everytime I punch the throttle.
Congrats again, I look forward to pics.

Thank you both and it is great to see that what people have been saying is true. I have seen their performance first hand out at the tracks, so I knew what they can do, but doing it first hand is just awesome. I know and expect it from my Roadrunner and my Shelby Z was frickin' impressive, but out of a 4 door Neon........WOW!! Now all I need are a few bolt-ons and then it'll give my Roadrunner a helluva run.........I never thought they would come out with a Neon that could ever come close to being able to stay with my Roadrunner. Out handling my Roadrunner sure, but not coming within a second of it in the 1/4. Now all I need is a nice spring day to really enjoy it.[sm=smiley17.gif][sm=smiley2.gif]

The four doors help give it a stealthy image, especially if you take off the high wing and put a regular Neon wing on...those 'stangs and Hondas will never know what hit 'em! [sm=smiley36.gif]
You planning on any external mods like body panels, wheels, etc?

It DOES handle and steer like it's on rails, doesn't it! After driving a pickup for 15 years that took some getting used to. In fact, last week I had to take the Chief Of Police's unmarked Crown Victoria "Police Special" in for some work at the dealer and I had a heck of a time trying to used to the lazy steering and lack of feedback from the suspension...

My Shelby Turbo Z was cool, but the SRT-4 is a cut above. No turbo lag, better handling, better tires, better exhaust, better hp and better torque...although I DID like the looks of the Turbo Z a bit more. Still, it's a BLAST to drive....LOOOOOVING IT!!![sm=smiley20.gif]
Best wishes on good weather, 71RoadRunner
