Thanks everybody![sm=smiley20.gif] I had to make a guy in his loud Chevy pick-up, who was trying to show off and thought he was gonna show me, look stupid as he jumped into it and then I did just a little bit after that. About 2-3 seconds later he was about 50-60 feet behind me.[sm=smiley36.gif]It was great.[sm=smiley2.gif]

I think the SRT-4 looks great already, but if someone makes an AAR Cuda style hood for it, like the one available for the 1st gen. Neons, then I will definately get it.[sm=smiley20.gif]

Yeah, down here pickup trucks are a dime a dozen and it's like shooting fish in a barrel. All the "cowboys" with their loud aftermarket dual exhausts are like my ex-wife...all noise and no performance. [sm=smiley36.gif]

And SUVs just get in the way...[sm=smiley15.gif]

It was great, because I didn't even give it but half throttle. I too am waiting for the break-in period, however on page 42 of the owners manual it says,"While cruising, brief full-throttle acceleration, within the limits of local traffic laws, contributes to a good break-in. Wide open throttle acceleration in low gear can be detrimental and should be avoided." So I was in good shape when teaching him a lesson.[sm=smiley36.gif]

I know what you mean. I have yet to use more than 50% power, but I've walked away from everything that's come my way. Kinda scary (in a fun sort or way) to imagine what WOT will be like...[sm=smiley36.gif]

Congrats on the srt-4. My only advice is to buy a good name brand radar/laser detector because i don't know what it is but a cop will pick you out of a six lane freeway to give you a ticket if your speeding even with someone passing you, first hand on this. But enjoy the car thats what is was made for. The forward motion exhaust and Mopar stage 1 kit will give you a good kick in the seat and a good place to start with the mods as the stage 1 pcm accepts all mods better than the stock pcm and maintains the warranty. With the forward motion 3 inch exhaust, Mopar stage 1 pcm, Mopar BOV(or other)AEM or K&N CAI, AGP actulator your car will run in the low 13 second range and shave 1/2 -3/4 off the 0-60 times best of all it will still ride and drive the same as when you drove it home, well have fun with it.

You read my mind.[sm=smiley3.gif]I had already chose to get the Forward Motion 3" SS exhaust, Mopar Performance Stage 1 PCM & BOV and K&N Typhoon CAI. I have also thought about the AGP actuator as well.[sm=smiley2.gif]

I thought that you were keeping your Shelby... Did you trade it in on your SRT? You might have already answered this... Have you raced anyone else sincse the truck?

The Shelby has been setting around since I bought the R/T, because I drove through high water in it about 2 weeks before I bought the R/T. A month later I went to take it for a spin just to find the front calipers had rusted and froze up on it, so it just sat since. I sold it to my step-brother, so the car is still around me in some way.

I have the R/T for sale right now, I can't afford 2 car payments.[sm=smiley36.gif]

I bought the SRT-4 with no trade-in, but I did put a thousand down on it though. If the R/T were paid off I would be keeping it for a winter car and put the SRT-4 in hibernation like the Roadrunner.

I haven't had any other fun runs yet, but I'm sure there will be plenty this spring/summer.

I've had the R/T for just under 3 years and your right about the trade-in. I would rather make a few $$$ and put it into mods for the SRT-4.[sm=smiley4.gif][sm=smiley2.gif]
