Have your friend watch the SRT Video listed on this forum and the same page that you found this topic...if his Cobra can pull from 100 to 160 like the SRT did in 25 seconds (which it won't) that will settle the issue...[sm=smiley23.gif]

 

The 98 Cobra has 305 HP stock... the SRT-4 has 230HP stock... I'd say the SRT-4 would still win... just drive right. The Cobra's are quick though... LOL! Be aware...

How many miles does your SRT-4 have? They don't fully let go until a certain mileage... they are 'smart engines'.

Please sell me a SRT-4 that has 320 HP...my checkbook is open! I think you got the numbers reversed - 230 HP for a 2004 SRT-4 is the latest "average" rating...but at times it DOES feel like more![sm=smiley17.gif]

can anyone tell me how to upload a vid anywhere. I have tried to build my own site at geocities and it will not allow a video, I have tried srtforum.com and for some reason it will not allow me to put on any attachment... any suggestions?

 

The SRT-4's 230 HP rating is at the flywheel, but as the '03 model proved, they put more horsepower to the wheels than the factory rating at the flywheel. So the SRT-4 is putting about the same power to the wheels as the Cobra, and maybe even more. Besides, Ford is already being sued for over rating the horsepower of the SVT Cobra, so it isn't even as powerful at the flywheel as advertised.[sm=smiley36.gif]
