The biggest concern with running the higher octane all the time is the increased engine temperatures, especially in hot weather. Your cars operating temperature will be higher and it increases the chances in overheating. The more free flowing your exhaust is the less likely it will overheat. An EGT gauge would be ideal as well.

Thats why I like the Accelerator. 13.00 per can is tolerable. In 10 gallons of 91 is 100 octane, so it doesnt break the bank....totally

i used torco with s2. it is not as effective with s3 for whatever reason (well, ok i know the reason. s3 requires a higher "true" octane than torco provides). it is a good option for those people that do not have access to real race gas, but it's a better choice to use true race gas rather than an additive when you can imo. especially with s3.

Well - you were right - vp is just fine. With a gallon or 2 of 94 left in the tank we added 10 gallons of vp unleadded. No knock so far in any gear. I haven't done a hwy pull in 4th gear yet, so that remains to be seen, but I don't forsee a problem.

And I have to say - after using HOM for the first time with 3"dp, no cat, 60 mm t/b, and all the other little tweeks - wow! The difference was noticable before, now the difference is night and day. The car came alive. For the first time, DAB 2 is faster than DAB 3 because of the traction advantage. DAB 3 makes the car a spaz in first gear and second. I need some slicks or drag radials for the track for sure, now. I can't wait to see what kind of times I post when I do get a chance to run it officially.

Thanks for your guidance on the race fuel, everyone.
