we switched the slicks for the street tires before we towed it out to the front gates. the plan was to call my insurance company and have it towed home, and i didn't think it would be a good idea for them to show up and see the car with slicks on it. plus with the tires being at only 18psi, the nose was a lot lower and there would have been even more problems getting it on the flat bed. as it is the nose rubbed.

i have the same rims in 17's and in 15's, the hoosiers are on the 15's......

 

ohh..i gotcha...so you didnt even get a single run?? did it break right at the line?

 

it broke on my 3rd run during the burn out. my best run (which was really bad) was my first, i did a 12.7@112. that was with bogging the launch (only a 2.0 60'), and not wot ****ing. my secong run was a 12.8@111. i'm going back next saturday to get some better times.

 

Well my car may be fast but my computer is definitely slow. I did however, after 20 mins or so, get about 13% of the video downloaded and I saw enough. Ouch! Well, Hope you get it fixed soon. Sounds like you plan to.
Gotta get mine up to Martin Dragway to see what it'll do. I hear there's been an SRT or 2 up there. I don't know where these guys live as I never see them around my house near Kalamazoo. Probably Grand Rapids. Oh well, I have fun spanking what I do find around here and that has been a Wrx, a 94 300zx and a honda/acura S 2000? lately. I do wish the dragstrip was closer. Luckily, I can drive there with my SRT, but if I were driving a BB w/low gears, I'd have to trailer it. It's too far. I miss when I lived in Vegas (for a few years) when I was only 7 miles from the dragstrip, I could sneak my car or my bike with open exhaust down the back roads to the track. It was great. Havent raced at a real dragstrip since oh about 1997. Getting a little rusty.
Well, get it fixed and give em hell! I'm rooten for ya.
