you gotta love those "SRT-look" SXTs - i can't believe Dodge is playing out SRT-4s like that, I mean I understand they make money off of it, but they shouldn't offer the same exact parts as the SRT-4 has. it's sad...

 

Engines are almost always mitsu platform but Volkswagon has their hand in it as well. Now whether they stick to it or not is another thing but Ive heard nothing as to hyundai building it and I dont see why we would start having korea build it as well since there are chrysler plants here that build neons and when they go what are they sposed to build????? UMMM the caliber. they arent goin to just stop the production like that unless they are planning to lay off a crap load of americans. Which if they were wed already be hearing about it in automotive news.

 

The Calliber will be built in Belvedere Il. The world design engine is supposed to be built in Mich. and oversea's for the other brands. I kind of wonder if they won't stop making the neon till next spring because I can't see this Calliber being brought to market by this August already. Also, they do plan a sedan model about 6 months later. So you will get another SRT-4, just not as a Neon.

LOL!! yeah dude. I worked as a detailer and I had salesman trying to tell me their 1500 rams could beat me!
anyway the srt-4 name IS retired as of 2005 with the srt4 acr package. The 2006 Caliber replaced the neon altogether(name and performance) and never to be as fast either!
