PCM replacement question?
In installing a Stage 1 can the existing PCM and mount be removed as one unit by just unpluging the three connectors and removing the fender mount bolt or must you remove the mount first? The mount bottom bolts look a little tricky to remove?
They (those bottom bolts) look tricky, but the are really not. If you lay on your back and look under the car where the driver side intercooler pipe is, that bracket comes down on either side. With ramps, it's even easier. Your biggest worry is breaking the PCM connectors. The red tab is just a LOCK, NOT the actual release tab. The release tab is a black tab above (meaning away from the connection) the red tab.
Slide red tab up (away from the connector)
Depress black tab
THEN pull.
(We really need an animated drawing for this, it would save a bunch of heartache

Why did Mopar just make it to where you go to the dealership and have them program the computer while it is in your car, would have saved them a lot of money on parts, except for they would have to ditribute the equipment to program the computers...

I found is easy just as glhs, had mention. But the bracket as a whole for wiggling out of the car was a pain[:@]

Hey guys and girls, remember I found my stage one PCM reads "Mexican Turbo" when you do a module display with a DRB? I sold my S1 and reset the vin and SKIM for the person I sold it to. I am going to take the old PCM and reprogram it with the Mexican software from Dealer Connect. Imagine if this is actually the same as Stage 1????? I'll keep you posted.
