stage 2 hard start
I just had stage 2 and mopar exhaust installed on wednesday. Sat morning I went to start my car and it took about four seconds to turn over. It sounds like it is ready to die and then kicks in. If the car sits too long it starts up hard. I went to work this morning with the same results. After a couple of starts it turns over like new. I thought I read a post on this before but I cant find it. What would be causing this.
Could possibly be throttle position sensor, could be bad plugs or a bad plug wire.
Most probable cause is the summer gas blend, a lot of people are having the same problem, myself included, and it is seasonal.
Does it do anything else, or just the hard start, pretty much every morning when you first start the car?

I have had the car for over a year now and this is the first mod I have done. I drove it in the winter and it never did this. I just got out of work, 10 hours, started the car and it was bad. I thought it might be plugs because tireally doesnt sound like it is firing right. I think I am going to change out the plugs and the wires this week sometime. What would be the best option? As for gas I use 93 and add octane booster.
MIne does the same thing, but only when I cold start! I have heard it is because of the bigger fuel injectors that come with stage 2??

^^^ Could be - there is a lot of speculation about a lot of possible causes, but the point is that every spring/summer, s2 cars don't like to start after sitting for mroe than 10 hours(or so). There are a ton of us out there with the same issue.
i guess they use the same fuel all year round here have seen no differance in cranking starts in 1 crank,by the way im addicted to that nos racing octane booster ive been running hom all week and its like having a new car.
Do pull your plugs and inspect from time to time, black, since your blazing the trail, write a map for others
If possible, I would take an O2 out and get a "Before" condition. Then in a while, pull it and look for effects.
