i'll have to hook up my DRBIII and check it. No important though, car will pass the sniff, and we don't test in WV anyway.

wouldnt it be easiest to just hold on to their original stage 0 stuff and revert back for that day for testing purposes?

I dont see why not. an ecu swap and injectors doesnt take long to do.

I dont see why you would need to swap out the fuel pump or the regulator.

the increased fuel pressure wouldnt be that much and would still be cut by the regulator anyway.

as for the other stuff, that shouldnt take long at all. fuel rail would swap with the injectors and the tip and map sensors...come on, easy easy.

6 hours of work for a good year cheating the sniffer...

Becuase the whole fuel system, from pump to injectors is a system, and Psi Chick did try what you suggest. It just didn't work. And while I agree that going all that way back might be easier, and since I have no emmisions, it's all moot to me. Sure be nice for folks to just plug in a plug and not worry about it.

And it's NOT a sniffer test, it's all computer.

PSI,
What codes did you throw with the stock PCM?

the only code that it throws on the s0 ecu is P0420 - cat efficiency. we got around that by never letting the cat efficiency test run so the code would not be thrown. didn't end up mattering since the evap system apparently cannot be read by the inspection machine so it failed anyway.

Psi, sorry I cant help as I'm still very new to this car. Just got done reading most of the 17 pages on the other forum. It seems as though Phrozen and '2much boost are nearing a conclusion All I can say is wow and bummer. I can however, sympathize. I now live in Mi where there is no testing, but did live in 'Vegas for almost 15 years and had to do the sniffer every year and I DO NOT miss it. What a bunch of crap.
