Default stage 1

I have been thinking about getting stage one for a little and have a few questions. First, is it really worth the money, I mean can u really notice a significant difference without taking it to the track. And I have also heard that moparsupercenter is the best place to order the stage kits, how quick do they usually get them in. I Know it all depends on the demand at the time and how big their order is but on average how soon could i expect to receive stage 1 if i order it from them.

Ask them how long it'll take, they'll be straight, they're good people.

It is definitely worth 329.00, you will feel a difference. Launch is much harder. Powerband is much better, too.

If you plan on going stage 2, or 2 with toys, though, maybe save for that, then you'll see a bigger difference. Spending the 329 on the borla, or exhaust of choice if you are going to go stage 2+ in lieu of the s1 ecu, in that case, might make sense.

How much of an improvement is stage 1 on a 2004 or newer srt-4?
Would the exhaust be a better improvement?
Should I just skip the stage 1?
Sounds like a waste of money unless you know you'll be forever happy with that level of performance. I know I would not.
Anyone?.......
I have questions too.

Good point, on the "forever happy issue"

I personally agree. Now that I am used to stage 2, I want stage 3. The mod bug is hard to resist on this car, it is soooooo addictive. The exh. wouldn't net as much of an improvement, on its own, but is is a great building block, and will enable you to unlock more poewr, later.

Personally, I skipped s1 and went straight to s2 with toys, and have loved the modification all around, from HOM, to the ic sprayer, to the exhaust note. Beating 'vettes is fun.

Loud and clear - just bought my first full case of the HOM crack - Can't drive without it. I am 100% addicted.
I wonder whether all those people who passed on the toys are bumming now that it has been discovered that they didn't actually need race gas.

BTW - pulling plugs this weekend - I'll bring the camera and snap a shot.

The greatest difference you will get and feel from Stage 1 will be on the street and not at the track. It's revised boost schedule is it's most prominent feature, the boost comes on far quicker (when your on the gas/accelerating and getting 3 psi boost now, with Stage 1 you will be getting 7-8 psi boost at that same amount of being on the gas/accelerating). It takes a lot less to do far more with Stage 1. You also get far more exhaust pops when you let off on the gas pedal. You will also get 1-2 psi more boost overall. The biggest difference you will feel and get with Stage 1 will be on the street with everyday driving, the boost coming on twice as fast or faster than before makes a big difference in any and all driving.

I always wanted to get Stage 2 w/toys, but the cost was just too high and I didn't think or believe the Stage 1 would be worth getting or make much if any difference, especially one that could be felt or noticed. Boy was I ever wrong, I couldn't have been more wrong. I've been very happy with my Stage 1 and it is the most noticeable difference I've felt so far, the boost just comes on far quicker and it's well worth the price.
