I've been thinking about what car to buy, and I can't get over how nice the SRT-4 is... so I decided to go with that.

I really want a new 2004 SRT-4, because of the 7/70k warranty. Now my question is, how much could I get one for (average price?), I live in Syracuse (Central NY). And is this a good choice for me? I'm turning 20 on the 29th, and this would be my first brand new car (driving a black Contour SVT atm)

I've been comming to this forum a lot in the past few days, but I just signed up.

I have to wake up in 2-3 hours for work, so I'm going to get some rest, any help and advice will be appreciated. I will get back to this thread to check up.

Around here a leftover 04 can go for as low as 17 grand with Kicker, Viper Seats and Sunroof. Theres a few at the dealership across the street from where I work, and a few elsewhere. The 05s aren't as good as the 04s for some unknown reason. I'm not too sure how the hell that happened, its beyond me. 04 is definitely the best year, warranty and otherwise.

That neon in your picture looks ****ing evil, I want a black one as well. Blue would be my 2nd choice in case they dont have black.
I'm willing to travel up to 250 miles away from Central NY for a '04 SRT-4 (black) thats under $18k, I really want one really bad... I was paying $1200 a month for my SVT Contour, just so I can pay it off faster and get the srt-4, but now I'm having trouble finding one. I went to some dealers the other night at 4am
and didn't find any, all of them had the sxt, but no srt-4

just to get this straight, you're looking to get a new 2004 thats left over right? not just a lightly used one. If you want a new one, just do the dealer finder on the dodge website and call all the ones close to you. If you're looking at a used one, then autotrader.com or ebaymotors. I just did a quick autotrader search for zip 10045 (dont know how close you are to that) and found 15 2004 srt-4s within 300 miles of you below $18,500.

One note on the black. I agree it looks mean as hell. But I have seen a few, and we are talking swirl city, even worse that most other black cars. These things are very hard to keep clean in black. Just a FYI. I wanted black, too, but I am glad, in retrospect, I am glad I ended up with the silver.

 

damm the swirls black still looks evil i love it.

 

Swirls can be buffed out if you know what your doing.

I have a black 03 and it is hotter than Haiti in that puppy when the temp hits 90 outside.

I think tint wont even help the heat situation much,
BUT Black is Definitely the HOTTEST color Evar so thats what I went with
