fastest SRT-4 QM, street legal?
I saw a Yellow 2003 in Modified Mag that dyno'd 501 whp. He ran the quarter, missed a shift and still went thru the traps at 125 mph. He states the car ran a 12.5-ish with 360 whp. The owner also says he raced a modified Z06 and could catch him by the top of third gear. He also claims it's the fastest SRT4 in the country right now.

Yeah actually, I'm quite surprised that there aren't 10 second SRT's already, even a little dissapointed. I know they're on the way though. Here in Michigan, the term "street legal" is often interpreted quite loosely. There are lots of cars running around on cruise nights with huge engines, nos, open exhaust, bare interiors, huge tires, severely lightened bodies all capable of 9+10 (or lower) second quarters. In some arenas, tip toeing right past cops like during the Woodward dream cruise in Detroit or any odd summer weekend in Flint. Cruising and street racing in these places has been a way of life for generations now and the cops are somewhat jaded and used to seeing this stuff. Not that they won't arrest you for illegal parking or racing if they see you. With no emissions testing, about all you got to have is a plate and working lights. Here in Kalamazoo, where I live now, the climate is all together different. No cruises, no street racing, very conservative and very boring. I have been invited by my long time childhood buddies in Flint to come up for a weekend and show some people whats up. They still know the cruise scene there. I can hardly wait. My car is still stage zero though and I know my place. I'm not about to go picking on big block Nova's just yet. I will stick to the more contemporary makes or race the heavies for no money but just exhibition purposes. I may get beat, but I will not be embarassed. My car is almost as fast as my buddies GTO and he does quite well. For now, I'll stick my neck out and say I've got the fastest SRT-4 in Kalamazoo. I can do this mostly because I've only seen one other SRT here and it was as stock as mine. :-) I'll say I'm a better driver as I have a boat load of street and legal dragstrip racing experience. There probably isn't even anyone from Kalamazoo reading this so I'm safe. LOL!
yeah..the mirada is street legal here.
actually, all that makes it not legal in PA is the stupid emissions tests...
i ran a guy with a red SRT4 from georgia last year before we ran he said "go easy on me, i only have 4 cylinders. it was an RT body with the intercooler hidden as much as possible, 15 inch aluminum wheels, stock neon seats, he ran a 12.22 @ like a 120mph, and by the end of the night, he got into the 11s...and when speaking to him, i asked him if his setup (which was fully custom) woudl be comparable to mopar stage 3, and his reply was "stage 3? haha...mopar stage 3 is a joke...mine would be like a mopar stage 10"...

ha! i love how people with aftermarket turbos like to think that they are soooo much better than s3, yet the run the same times! who cares if you have 350 or 500 hp if you're both running low 12s/high 11s!
the guy in germany? i will try to get ahold of him and get more info..
as for the guy who i ran against...he ran those times on regular street tires, full interior, with an awful 60' time...he also said that the only thing that was untouched from the factory was the block..under his hood looked like the cockpit of an airplane...digital gauges on everything, over each injector, FPRs for each cylinder..it seemed like alot of overkill to me...but for a car that he literally drove in, ran, and drove back out, i was impressed.

i think stage 3 will more then enough power for me.do you guys ever ask yourself when is enough enough? it just gets to the point where you have so much power you cant even use it for daily driving anymore. ok i have said my pieace on with the hp wars.
No prob! he lives about 3.0 hrs from where i stay. Now, the block is stock, he said. if i remember correctly, he has either a 50 trim or 60-1, CAI, 750 or 850 cc inj, fuel return kit, EBC, and a SAFC and thats it for the engine. Now what you saw, was some STAR WARS sh*t.... which i aint knockin'em
